Sale of Student accommodation
Field Seymour Parkes has advised its client, Bathford Partners, on the sale of Stonemason House 145 Magdalen Rd, Oxford for a significant undisclosed sum, a prominent building with high-end student accommodation near the centre of Oxford, which was let to an Oxford University college.
The law firm acted on all aspects of the sale of this building to another of the Oxford University colleges.
The firm’s deal team was led by Nick Dalgleish, Partner in the Real Estate team.
Nick Dalgleish, said:
“I am delighted to have supported the client on this transaction and to continue assisting with their broader investment strategy through the disposal of such a high-quality Oxford asset. The transaction required delivery within a demanding timeframe, and completing on schedule highlights our ability to provide technical advice in a practical, commercially focused manner.”
Richard Crawshay Jones, Director at the Bathford Partners, added:
“This was a demanding transaction. The timescales were particularly short, whilst having to deal with several parties during the transaction.
We have a long standing relationship with Field Seymour Parkes. Once again, it was a pleasure to work with Nick Dalgleish and his team. They onboarded the deal efficiently, made contact with other parties to ensure a smooth transaction within tight timescales. Thanks again FSP!“
